5 out of 5 !

Billy BOLT continues to increase his statistics in the MotoZ FIM SuperEnduro World Championship. The triple world champion wins the Grand Prix of Hungary and continues to dominate the 2024 season. He even seems to have taken a serious advantage in obtaining another world crown.

Bolt

The MVM Dome in Budapest is a new venue hosting the SuperEnduro world championship this year. 12,500 fans have made the trip to see the stars of the discipline battle it out on a spectacular track that offered an evening full of emotions. Billy BOLT is still injured. Since the Grand Prix of Germany, the British giant has been riding with broken ligaments on his left knee. Suffering, hindered but not too handicapped, BOLT continues to dictate his law in SuperEnduro. Winner in Riesa (Germany) and Cluj (Romania), Billy BOLT doesn't give up anything to his opponents. It's the same in Budapest. He wins the first heat with a comfortable lead despite a huge scare with Manuel LETTENBICHLER (GER-KTM) towards the end of the race. He finished ahead of Jonny WALKER (GBR-Beta) and Diogo VIEIRA (POR-GASGAS). The second heat seems easier for BOLT, who quickly passes VIEIRA who had taken the lead of the race. The rider holding the 24MX red plate will never be caught. He even widens the gap on a Jonny WALKER in great difficulty, victim of falls and minor mechanical problems. The second heat goes to BOLT ahead of VIEIRA and Mitch BRIGHTMORE (GBR-GASGAS), the 2023 Junior champion. WALKER recovers in the last heat briefly taking the lead of the final. But the incredible Billy BOLT will take the lead and never let go until the finish line. Satisfied with his result, the British rider wins his fifth Grand Prix of the season! He finishes ahead of Jonny WALKER who minimizes the damage and a flamboyant Diogo VIEIRA who steps onto his first podium in SuperEnduro.

In the World Championship standings, "Billy the Dog" confirms his dominance, increasing his points lead to 33 over Jonny WALKER. Manuel LETTENBICHLER remains third in the provisional standings ahead of Will HOARE. Dominik OLSZOWY (POL-Rieju) completes the top 5 under the growing threat of Mitch BRIGHTMORE, excellent in Hungary.

Ashton BRIGHTMORE: the hat trick

The young British rider strengthened his position as leader of the championship in the Junior category. He wins for the third time this season. He dominates Suff SELLA (ISR-KTM) who couldn't do anything against the fervor of the 17-year-old Englishman. Ashton brilliantly wins the first two heats of the evening. The third was a bit more eventful as the GASGAS rider clashed with the German Milan SCHMUESER (Sherco). When the two boys get up, they are dead last and have to climb back in the rankings. BRIGHTMORE was about to be lapped by SELLA, but the boy is tough as he manages to climb back to second place! He wins in Budapest ahead of SELLA and SCHMUESER. The Israeli will have his revenge in a few weeks in Bulgaria where the MotoZ FIM SuperEnduro World Championship will discover another new destination this season. See you on February 23rd in Sofia.
