BOLT & BRIGHTMORE, First 24MX Leader of 2023

The FIM SuperEnduro World Championship season opened last weekend in Poland at the Tauron Arena in Krakow. Billy BOLT (GBR-Husqvarna), the reigning double world champion, enforced the hierarchy as he brilliantly won the three finals of the evening. He is logically the first Red Plate leader of 24MX 2023.

Billy BOLT does not like to share! The British champion wiped out all the victories of the first round of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship. His victories all came after he largely dominated his opponents. In each of the finals, BOLT showed exemplary authority. After a difficult start in the first race, it took him less than a lap to take control of the Final. Jonny WALKER (GBR-Beta) tried everything to resist to the official Husqvarna rider, but BOLT was in another dimension. The Briton admits that he is not yet in 100% form. This statement is quite worrying for the other competitors who will have to deal with a BOLT which will continue to increase in power. In the first heat, Cody WEBB (USA-Sherco) had the joy of a third place after a year 2022 in hell. In the second final, BOLT spent a few laps stuck in traffic. With WALKER, he managed to pass up rider after rider. Taddy BLAZUSIAK (POL-GasGas) will not be able to cope with the enthusiasm of the two English riders. BOLT signs a new victory in front of WALKER and the six-time Polish World Champion. In the last final, BOLT made a mouthful of this final round of the evening. Only two drivers managed to stay in the same lap as him. Even if it is far too early to think it, the competitors of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship will have to hurt themselves if they want to steal the red plate of 24MX leader from Billy BOLT. Jonny WALKER and Cody WEBB will do their best to disrupt the road of the valiant English rider.

In the Junior classification, the surprise has a name: BRIGHTMORE. 19-year-old Mitch (GasGas) won all three rounds of the category with the authority of an old veteran and the modesty of a young first. The success of the family is completed by the third place finish of his younger brother Ashton (GasGas) 3 years younger than him. The two brothers are separated on the podium of the Polish GP by the German Milan SCHMUESER (Sherco), the big favorite in the Junior category. The BRIGHTMOREs made their first appearance at a round of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship. We can't wait to see if they'll be able to repeat that feat on SCHMUESER grounds next January in the RIESA arena.
