A Russian Rider in SuperEnduro!

SuperEnduro has been gaining popularity and interest for the past four or so years, with the addition of young hopefuls from the likes of Spain, Portugal, Brazil and most recently, Russia. And with the level of competition and prestige increasing with every season, it seemed almost certain that Davidone day a Russian rider would come to join the cream of the crop in SEWC!

This rider is David LEONOV, the latest winner of the Russian Endurocross Cup! At just 20 years old, LEONOV has already made a name for himself in the world of Hard Enduro, entering Red Bull 111 Megawatt twice, and finishing in 8th place on both occasions.
Hailing from Donetsk in the Rostov region, he will be riding a Husqvarna 300 TE at the first round of SEWC in Krakow (Poland). The Red Bull Russia rider has decided to skip the Junior class, where he is young enough to ride, and instead line up in the tough Prestige class against the likes of HAAKER, WALKER, BLAZUSIAK and LETTENBICHLER!
A challenge for any young rider, but ambitious LEONOV could become a real contender in this Championship...

It goes without saying that David LEONOV will bring a new fan base and shed new light on SuperEnduro in Russia, especially if he makes a few top results!
In any case, the 2016/17 Maxxis FIM SuperEnduro World Championship has a truly cosmopolitan feel with riders from the USA, Spain, France, Poland, Austria, Germany, and Chile to name but a few. And now Russia joins the fray.
