BOLT & CULLINS The First 24MX Leaders!

The 2020 season got off to a flying start on Saturday at the Tauron Arena in Krakow. And for the first time in 4 years, Taddy BLAZUSIAK (PL - KTM) is not the points leader after the first round of the season...

If the SuperEnduro wondered before the start of the season who, if anyone, could beat “King Taddy”, the question was quickly answered. After an almost perfect evening, the returning Billy BOLT (GB - Husqvarna) dominated proceedings and impressed with his technique and all-out style. The youngster from Newcastle therefore becomes the first 24MX Leader of the season, and is 5 points ahead of BLAZUSIAK. Third in the provisional standings is Alfredo GOMEZ (E - Husqvarna), who finds himself 15 points behind his Husqvarna teammate. While Jonny WALKER (GB - KTM), fourth in the standings, is 19 points down. South Africa’s Blake GUTZEIT (RSA - KTM) completes the Top 5.

In the Junior class, a trio of riders stood out from the pack in Poland. Ty CULLINS (USA - TM), Teodor KABAKCHIEV (BG - KTM) and Leon HENTSCHEL (D - Husqvarna) all won one race each, and all are more or less neck-and-neck in the standings. At the end of the evening, it was the American newcomer who took the red 24MX Leader Plate by only 2 points! With a victory, a second, and a third place, the TM Racing rider has made a strong debut in the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship. But he will have his work cut out in Riesa (Germany) in a month’s time, since HENTSCHEL and KABAKCHIEV are so close behind him! Adrien JACON (F - KTM) and Jozsa NORBERT LEVENTE (RO - Husqvarna) complete the current Top 5.

The season started with a bang in Krakow’s Tauron Arena, with thrilling races and great battles, and this augurs well for a great 2020 season! See you on January 4th at the SachsenArena in Riesa (Germany) to see if BOLT and CULLINS will hold on to their 24MX Leader Plates!
