BOLT, who else?

The Akrapovic Superpole is an event always awaited in a Grand Prix of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship. For the opening of the 2023 season it did not disappoint. Billy BOLT, again, is the first rider to open the way this year. The Briton seems to be on the same kind of performance as last year.

The statistic is easy to remember, in two full seasons Billy BOLT (GBR-Husqvarna) missed the best time in the Akrapovic Superpole only once! It has therefore been 10 GPs that the Briton has set the benchmark time on the World SuperEnduro tracks. Worried during the recce of the track and its different technical sections, the official Husqvarna rider tamed the difficulties of the track laid out in the heart of the Tauron Arena in Krakow. The loose and wet dirt did not disturb the performance of BOLT who signed a conclusive 36.519. The second best time, in the first Superpole of the year, goes to local hero Taddy BLAZUSIAK (GasGas). The Polish rider manages to rank within a second and a half of the double world champion. It was another Polish who set the third reference time Dominik OLSZOWY (GasGas). The 2022 Junior champion made a remarkable debut, finishing almost two seconds behind BOLT. He is ahead of the amazing Swede, Eddie KARLSSON, on his KTM. Jonny WALKER (GBR-Beta) made a mistake which cost him his place on the front row, the Briton ahead of Tim APOLLE (GER-Beta) and Cody WEBB last of the day after he stalled in the stone section. The American wasted a lot of time try to restart his official Sherco. He is last in this first confrontation, it is only a postponement, Webb will try his luck again in Germany next January.
