WALKER Responds to BOLT!

On one of the most technical tracks we’ve seen in Germany, and also in the history of the discipline, the 7 riders who qualified for the Akrapovic Super Pole put on a great show in front of a packed house...

Looking impressive and stylish during the practice and qualification sessions, Billy BOLT (GB - Husqvarna) was considered by many as the favourite to set the fastest lap but ultimately, the youngster from the UK only managed to place third with a time of 42 '' 936.
The Factory Husqvarna rider couldn't dispatch of his Factory KTM rivals, Jonny WALKER (GB) and Taddy BLAZUSIAK (PL). In fact, WALKER was the one on fire during the Akrapovic Super Pole, topping it for the second time this season with a lap of 41’’903, while BLAZUSIAK got off to a good start with a 42’’220
Behind this trio, Russia’s David LEONOV (Husqvarna) put in a very impressive performance for 5th place, meaning he was fighting at the front with the cream of the crop for the preferential places on the grid.

The Super Pole powered by Akrapovic got the evening off to a great start in Riesa, and the SachsenArena was buzzing after watching the quickest riders fight for the top spot. With BOLT’s 3rd place on the night, WALKER takes control of the Akrapovic Award’s standings…
but with three rounds still to come, it’s still all to play for!
